PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed magazine for a recording paper roll allowing prevention of a break of a separation plate even in the case that the recording paper roll from which a tip fixing tape stuck before shipment of the recording paper roll is forgotten to peal is set. SOLUTION: A tape receiving plate 36 molded of a high-rigidity plastic is disposed above a bracket 35 provided with a separation plate 34 such that the tape receiving plate 36 brings into contact with the periphery of a recording paper roll 18 when the recording paper roll 18 has its maximum diameter. When the recording paper roll 18 on which a tip fixing tape 21 stuck before shipment remains is reversely rotated to the rewinding direction, the tape receiving plate 36 abuts on the tip fixing tape 21 to stop the rotation of the recording paper roll 18.
