PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To externally use an artificial skin based on a copolymer of polyalkylene glycol and aromatic polyester for various types of injuries, by providing the skin with a specific thickness and an upper surface and a lower surface and by providing both surfaces with a specific macro porosity. SOLUTION: This artificial skin is based on a specific biodegradable copolymer, and this is a copolymer of polyalkylene glycol and aromatic polyester. Thickness of the artificial skin, depending on a portion to be provided with this, is generally in a range of 502-2,000 μm. In addition, importantly, the artificial skin has 20-95% macro porosity on its both surfaces. On the other hand, size of holes in the artificial skin is preferably 20-500 μm, more preferably 50-250 μm. Diameter of the holes is 0.2-40 μm in the upper surface of the skin, porosity on the upper surface of the skin is larger than 15%, and diameter of the holes is 20-300 μm in the lower surface of the skin. |
