PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a game machine to display the number of retained medals. SOLUTION: This pattern combination game machine 1 has a rotary drum display part 4, a retained medal number display part 40 to display the number of retained medals, and a reset switch button 42 to reset the previous medal number displayed on the retained medal number display part 40 to zero and to set the initial medal number (initial value) initially retained by a player. When the reset switch is operated to on, CPU makes the retained medal number display part 40 display an initial value and add the number of delivered medals to the count value of the retained medal number display part 40 and subtract the number of medals thrown into a medal slot 11 and display the resulting number on the retained medal number display part 40. Thus, a player can correctly confirm the currently retained medal number in a tray 15 by the retained medal number display part 40 and is enabled to decide whether the game is continued or not by looking into the medal number displayed on the retained medal number display part 40.
