PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for hybrid vehicle, which is capable of increasing a power accumulation frequency in a cruise mode by limiting the frequency of entering an acceleration mode when the remaining capacity of a power storage set is small. SOLUTION: A controller of a hybrid vehicle having an engine, a motor, and a capacitor is provided with a capacitor capacity sensor for detecting the capacity QCAP of the capacitor, assist trigger threshold value setting means (step S111) for setting an assist trigger threshold value (MAST) as a throttle opening degree for starting a motor assistance according to an engine revolution speed NE, and an assist trigger threshold value correcting means (step S113, step S115, and step S116) for executing correction so as to increase an assist trigger threshold value as the capacity of the capacitor is smaller. |
