PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the adhesion force among tubes with a multiple tube structure with a high air proof property maintained by providing an innermost tube of an ink supply tube made from a thermally fusible resin, providing a tube to be fitted and bonded therewith made from a resin compatible with the innermost tube, and fitting and jointing them by heating so as to provide an integral tube. SOLUTION: The inner layer of an ink supply tube 1 with a multiple layer structure is made from a polyethylene having the excellent ink resistant property. By providing each layer with a thin thickness, the running load of a carriage is made smaller and the stress in the tube thickness is reduced so as to obtain a higher bending durability. A connection opening part 3 is formed integrally with a filter unit 32 from a polyethylene resin, which is a material thermally compatible with the inner layer of the tube 1. A polypropylene, a vinyl chloride resin or the like are also preferable for the inner layer and the part 3 of the supply tube 1. A pipe part 4 of the part 3 slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the tube, and a ring-like projection part 2 having a slightly large diameter are disposed. After pressing in, they are applied with a thermal treatment to compatibilize each other, and cooled down for solidification. |
