摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism of a grinding wheel in a grinding machine capable of reducing the number of partitens of a rotary drive mechanism of a spindle rotating the grinding wheel, simplifying a structure, suppressing vibration of the spindle, improving rotation accuracy to reduce noise, and improving machining accuracy of a workpiece. SOLUTION: A turning saddle 21 is mounted in such a way that it can turn centered on C-axis inclined in a vertical face relative to a Z-axis saddle 15 mounted on a column so as to reciprocate in the direction of Z-axis. A motor 22 is mounted on a cylindrical part 21a of the turning saddle 21, a rotary shaft of the motor 22 is defined as a spindle 44, and a grinding wheel 23 is fitted in the spindle 44. Since the grindstone 23 is directly rotated by the spindle 44 of the motor 22, the grinding wheel is smoothly rotated, rotation accuracy is improved, and machining accuracy of a workpiece is improved.
