PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleated filter capable of ensuring mechanical strength even if all of constitutional parts are made of plastics and capable of stably producing treated water of high quality. SOLUTION: The pleated filter 10 is equipped with a pleated filter member 12 formed by folding a filter sheet 11 in the same folding width in a pleated form and fusing both left and right end parts thereof along the respective inner surfaces thereof to form side seal parts, an inner protector 13 and a protector net 14 covering the inner and outer surfaces of the filter member 12 to protect the same and a pair of upper and lower plates 15, 16 fused to both ends of three of them to be integrated therewith. The pleated parts including the side seal parts are formed so that the outer ends in the diameter direction of them are allowed to retreat from the folded ridges of other pleated parts to the axial core of the filter member by 3 mm or more.
