PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester enabling the reaping height of a reaping unit to follow the unevennesses of the field surface irrespective of its traveling speed. SOLUTION: This combine harvester has a means for measuring the reaping height of the lower end of a reaping unit above the field surface, a means for previously setting a reaping height, a means for measuring the combine harvester travel distance, and a control unit for controlling a lift mechanism; wherein the control unit works as follows: reaping height is measured by the relevant means for a given travel distance each, based on a travel distance measured by the relevant means, and the reaping unit is subjected to lift control so that the reaping height thus measured approach a reaping height previously set by the relevant means.
