<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of heat scratch by detecting plate temperature on the exit side of a stand, rolling load, work roll speed, plate thickness on the entrance/exit side of the stand, tension, plate cooling water temperature, and supplying quantity, estimating plate temperature at the roll bite exit, and changing the work roll speed if the estimated temperature is in excess of a target temperature for controlling heat scratch. SOLUTION: A stand that is liable to cause heat scratch is specified in advance. If an estimated plate temperature Tf at the roll bite exit in the specified stand is in excess of the temperature TL of a preset heat scratch control target, a friction coefficient and deformation resistance are determined for a rolling stock. From the friction coefficient and the deformation resistance, a plate temperature rise TEE' inside the roll bite is determined, as is a plate temperature rise Tm' inside the roll bite after a work roll speed is changed. A work roll speed is determined that makes TL-Tf>=Tm'-TE', and is controlled with this speed as the target.</p> |
