PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manifest excellent elasticity in the high-temperature region, as its intrinsic mechanical properties are retained at room temperature, by containing ZrO2 as the main component, and at least one alkaline earth metal oxides as a stabilizer and adjusting the average crystal particles over a certain value. SOLUTION: The precursor of raw material powders is prepared by using ZrO2 as a main component and 5-12 mol% of at least one selected from the group of alkaline earth oxides as a stabilizer. This precursor is calcined at 500-1,300 deg.C, crushed with a crusher for example, a ball mill to prepare the raw material powder with the BET specific surface area of <=3 m2/g and the primary size of 5-100 nm. The raw material powder is molded by the CIP molding, the extrusion molding, the injection molding and the like and the molded products are sintered at 1,550-1,850 deg.C for >=2 hours to obtain the objective zirconia sintered product. The resultant sintered product has the average crystal particle sizes of >=3 μm and its elastic modulus at 1,100 deg.C is more than 70% elastic one at 30 deg.C. |
