<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new ester good in stability of a liquid composition, excellent in adhesion, scarcely discoloring a cured product and useful for a printing ink. SOLUTION: This ester is represented by formula I R1 is H or methyl; the average value of [(a) + (b)] is 1-5). The above ester is obtained by reacting (A) a cyclohexanedimethanol, e.g. cyclohexane-1,4-dimethanol with (B)ε- caprolactone in the presence of a catalyst such as tin(I) chloride at 80-200 deg.C reactional temperature for about 1-20 h and the resultant product is then reacted with (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of an acid such as sulfuric acid in a reactional solvent such as benzene at 80-150 deg.C reactional temperature for about 1-20 h.</p> |
