PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag sealing tool comprised of a bar-like pressing rod and a receptor rod having a recessed cavity into which the pressing rod is to be fitted so as to cause a bag to be held by the pressing rod fitted into the recessed cavity and the receptor rod and further to improve a sealing characteristic at an opening part of the bag when the pressing rod is fitted into the recessed groove through the bag. SOLUTION: A pressing rod 1 has arcuate portions that are symmetrical to each other and has a sectional shape with a major diameter and a minor diameter. A distance between opposing side walls 23 of a recessed groove 20 is set to such a size as one in which the arcuate portions are internally contacted with the opposing side walls 23 through a bag 4. Projecting pieces 21 for use in pressing the pressing rod 1 in its anti-removal state are projected inwardly along a longitudinal direction of the recessed groove 20 at the releasing ends of the recessed groove 20. A distance between the projecting pieces 21 in a width direction of the recessed groove 20 is set to be shorter than the major diameter and longer than the maximum width at the minor diameter side.
