PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under-stair construction for house capable of effectively utilizing a space under stair for rooms adjacent to a stair installation room. SOLUTION: In a house where a stair 4 is installed along a partition wall 3 which divides the stair installation room from the other neighboring rooms, an opening 5 is formed in a place corresponding to the portion below the stair 4 and in extended space 10 extending the rooms adjacent to the stair installation room up to the area below the stair through the opening 5 is provided. Also, as extended space 10, display shelves or the like can be considered.
