PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing metal fitting which has a simple structure, is lightweight and small-sized, and is freely removable by arranging a metal substrate provided with projections locking and coupling the hole sections of a horizontal member and a screw pressing a vertical member with its tip so that the advancing direction of the screw is made opposite to the pressing direction of the horizontal member. SOLUTION: The body of this fixing metal fitting 1 is made of an L-shaped metal substrate 7 constituted of a long piece 3 having pawl pieces 2, 2a and a short piece 6 having a screw 5 screwed into a screw hole 4. The pawl pieces 2, 2a are locked on the mesh of an expand metal. When the screw 5 is advanced to press a vertical member with its tip contact section 8, the metal substrate 7 is moved in the opposite direction to the advancing direction of the screw 5, the pawl pieces 2, 2a push the corner section of the mesh of the expand metal, and the solid object of the expand metal is firmly fixed to the vertical member by the fastening of the screw 5. A horizontal member can be removably fixed to the vertical member by the lightweight and small-sized fixing metal fitting 1 having a simple structure.
