PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable representation of white color display without the use of semiconductor light emitting elements of colors R, G and B by avoiding electrical shocks such as static electricity, thus realizing its ease of handleability and reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: In a light source device 1, including a semiconductor light- emitting element 3 made of an InGaAlP-, InGaAlN- or InGaN-based material, the element 3 is mounted on a pattern 2a of a lead frame for the element 3 and at its cathode side die-bonded thereto, and a bonding wire 5b extending from an anode of a rectifying element 4 is also wire-bonded thereto. The rectifying element 4 is mounted onto a pattern 2b and die-bonded at its anode thereto, and a bonding wire 5a extended from an anode of the element 3 is also wire- bonded thereto. Thereby the rectifying element 4 is connected in parallel to the element 3 and with reversed polarity thereto. Resin 7, having wavelength converting material mixed thereinto, is provided so as to cover the element 3. |
