SOLUTION: The threshold of the available capacity of a file system on an HDD is preliminarily set (S11). When the end of the recording of a designated program is detected (S12), the available amounts of the file system at that time is checked (S13), and the value is compared with the preliminarily set threshold of the available capacity (S14). When this value is smaller, a message indicating that the available storage is made small is displayed (S15), and the value of the available storage is simultaneously displayed as necessary. Therefore, when the available capacity is made small, the warning display is issued to a viewer so that the view can be encouraged to ensure the available capacity. Thus, the failure of program recording due to the shortage of the capacity can be reduced.</p> |
