The system includes measuring the couple exerted by the driver on the steering wheel, and the steering angle. There is a module (11) and another module (12) respectively delivering a first and second value of willingness (V1, V2) of the driver from the couple (C) applied on the steering wheel. There is a module for detection (13) and a module (14) of diagnosing the action of the driver on the wheel. There is also a module (15) for diagnosing the intentions of the driver w.r.t the vehicle environment.
