PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even children to understand the explanation of numbers by combining specific abacuses consisting of five beads and one bead. SOLUTION: Nine units of the abacuses of the same number of digits of one of the five beads and four of the one bead are combined to three rows and three columns. On the names of the respective abacuses, the first row of the abacuses of the respective parts is designated as an upper stage, the second row as a middle stage and the third row as a lower stage and the first column as a left, the second column as a middle and the third column as a right. The one number has many kinds of components. The already known three components among these components are expressed by the small left, middle and right abacuses. The middle (C) abacus expresses the component of a real number (positive or negative number), the left(L) small abacus the component of the number smaller than the component of the real number and the right(R) small abacus the component of the number smaller than the component of the real number. There is a relation of 1 of the left×1 of the right = 1 of the middle (1L×1R=1C). In the calculation of the number, the number to be operated is placed at the upper stage, the operational number at the middle stage and the result number at the lower stage and observation is carried out.
