PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the waveform distortion of a power supply voltage and the loss of a transmission line by making the primary- and secondary-side currents of a power transformer, which is particularly used for audio equipment, etc., and contains less amounts of harmonic components by suppressing the peak values of the currents. SOLUTION: In a power transformer in which a primary winding C1 and a secondary winding C2 are concentrically rolled around a toroidal first core 1, either one of the windings C1 and C2 is wound as a lower-layer winding 2, a cylindrical core 4 having a void 5 is arranged on the internal surface of the lower-layer winding 2, and the other winding is rolled so as to wrap the lower-layer winding 2 and core 4 as an upper-layer winding C2. |
