PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure traveling to a goal in safety while limiting output to a drive wheel even upon occurrence of an abnormality in a first control means for generally controlling respective control systems of the hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: When an abnormality occurs in HEV-ECU system for generally controlling respective control systems, a T/M-ECU performs stop control in place of the HEV-ECU. An engine is stopped by an injector power supply stop signal (S332) and the controller for moor A is shifted to low speed constant rotation control by an abnormality control signal. Furthermore, the controller for motor B is controlled by means of an inhibiter switch and an accelerator switch at its inputs (S336, S337) and a lockup clutch is turned off to set the speed change ratio of a CVT at a specified value (neutral value) (S339). According to the arrangement, a vehicle can be moved surely in safety to a goal while suppressing excess output by the limiting the output with the first motor on the sun gear side when the driving power of a second motor coupled to the ring gear side of a planetary gear is outputted from a carrier. |
