PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device for information stored digitally on the optical record carrier, which reproduces navigation parameters assigned to a record single carrier which usable for subsequent reproduction. SOLUTION: This reproducing device for information recorded digitally on an optical record carrier has a control circuit which can select and/or control the display and/or reproduction of, specially video and/or audio information and a parameter memory which stores navigation parameters during the reproduction of the record carrier, and also has a 1st nonvolatile memory 9 which is controlled by the control circuit, and the 1st nonvolatile memory 9 is provided for storing the navigation parameters, and the navigation parameters are stored together with record carrier identification information for assigning the navigation parameters to relative record carriers. When the reproduction process of the record carrier is started, the navigation parameters assigned to the record carrier can be read out of the 1st nonvolatile memory 9 and written to the parameter memory.
