<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the level of bright gradations by time slotting the signal during the writing time of a unit time for writing to an arbitrary pixel and enabling the display of the gradations corresponding to the divided number of components. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with at least one thin-film transistor(TFT) 13 having gate electrode, gate insulating film, channel-forming region, source region and drain region formed on a substrate and an interlayer insulating film 65 covering the TFT 13. The surface of the interlayer insulating film 65 is provided with electrodes 67 and 68 which are electrically connected to either of the source regions and drain regions via first contact holes 66 bored at the interlayer insulating film 65. The surface of the electrodes 67, 68 are provided with flat films 69, and the surfaces of the flat films 69 are provided with the pixel electrodes 17 electrically connected to the electrodes 67 and 68 via second contact holes 73 formed at the flat films 69. The first contact holes are formed separated from the second contact holes.</p> |
