PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium that address marks are formed by unevenness and the recording area of the address marks is reduced and the stable floating state of a head is guaranteed, and an information recording/reproduce device which uses the mentioned information recording medium. SOLUTION: Relating to an information recording medium an address mark is formed by unevenness which is provided without spacing between codes, a code sequence corresponding to a track number is encoded in Gray code and structured by replacing the code of a prescribed digit with the code of another prescribed digit. The code sequence equivalent to the track number is structured by performing a NOT operation to the prescribed digit. The information recording/reproducing device includes an operation means which operates the code sequence of the read address marks, and performs the reverse operation to the code sequence structuring operation to the code sequence equivalent to the read track number and reconstitute a regular code sequence.
