SUSPENSION CIRCULATING SYSTEM USED FOR PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION MEASUREMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stir a suspension within a dispersion bath without using a stirring blade. SOLUTION: This system comprises a dispersion bath 1 for dispersing a sample in a dispersing medium to form a suspension and a flow cell 4 connected thereto through a circulating passage 7 so as to circulate and supply the suspension to the flow cell 4. The dispersion bath 1 is cylindrical. The return piping 9 of the circulating passage 7 for returning the suspension from the flow cell 4 to the dispersion bath 1 is connected to the dispersion bath 1 so that the inflow direction of the suspension returned into the dispersion bath is shifted from the central direction of the dispersion bath 1. The connection part of the return piping 9 to the dispersion bath 1 is situated below the level of the suspension within the dispersion bath 1. According to this, the suspension in the dispersion bath 1 is spirally stirred by the flow of the suspension flowing into the dispersion bath 1 from the circulating passage 7.
