PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select the paper of size fit to a document by an automatic paper selecting function even in a state where an automatic rotating function is still set in the case of forming an image in a document coexisting mode. SOLUTION: When the document coexisting mode for permitting the document consisting of plural sizes of paper whose length in a feeding direction is different but whose width is equal to be carried to an image reading position is set in an automatic document feeding means (YES at S909), an automatic paper selecting means is operated after inhibiting the operation of an automatic image rotating means (S911 to S914). The automatic paper selecting means selects a paper feeding stage in which the printing paper of the size fit to a formed image is put, and the automatic image rotating means rotates the formed image and forms it on the printing paper in the case of forming the image on the printing paper based on image data stored in a memory means.
