PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetically programmable and latchable optical switch so as to hold stably a latched position without requiring power after an optical path is shifted in the required direction. SOLUTION: This optical switching device consists of an optical reflection mirror 10 containing a magnetic component 11 movably connected to a substrate 12. One or plural programmable magnets are provided for moving the mirror 10 by synthetically acting with the magnetic component 11. These programmable magnets move the mirror 10 between selected positions or ranging the selected positions, and hold the mirror position without continuous power.
