PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a focus offset adjustment without interrupting the reproducing of the continuously recorded video and sound by determining whether the focus offset adjustment is to be performed or not in accordance with the amount of information of an information storage means. SOLUTION: The information read out from an optical disk 1 by a disk reading means 2 are stored in an information storage means 3 and those are converted into a video signal and a sound signal by a decoding means 4. At this time, when it is detected by a data amount detecting means 8 that the information of the information storage means 3 are equal to or larger than a prescribed amount, a servo adjustment starting means 7 starts up a servo adjusting means 6 to perform the focus offset adjustment of a servo means 5. Thus, even when the reading of information for reproducing a video and a sound is interrupted by the focus offset adjustment, since it is eliminated that the information of the information storage means 3 are all consumed, the video and the sound are reproduced without being interrupted.
