AUTO CONTROL APPARATUS FOR THE IMAGE ON FLAT PANEL DISPLAY AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to optimally display picture by automatically adjusting that a mode of a picture signal generated from a host and a horizontal and a vertical synchronous signal is not identical to a flat plate panel. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus includes an MCU(Microprocessor unit)(12), a PLL(Phase-locked loop)(14), an ADC(Analog to digital converter)(15) and an ASIC(16). The MCU judges a mode according to horizontal and vertical synchronous signals and outputs first through third control signals controlling the timing of a pixel clock for adjusting size and position of a picture according to the judged mode and the fourth signal for displaying information according to the adjustment of the picture with an OSD(On Screen Display). The first and second control signals are applied to the PLL portion. The PLL portion controls the timing of the pixel clock according to the first and second control signal to output. The ADC receives the pixel clock and transforms an analog picture signal outputted after being amplified to a level of TTL from a pre-amp into a digital signal by making a sampling for the analog picture signal to output the first data. The ASIC receives the pixel clock, receives and stores the first data according to the received pixel clock and outputs the second data according to the timing of the received pixel clock by adjusting the picture of the stored first data according to the third control signal to generate the second data.
