PURPOSE: A device for clamping a disk of a disk player is provided to perform a clamping and a centering a disk reliably by improving a moving path of a clamper pressing a disk mounted on a turntable in a disk player toward the turntable. CONSTITUTION: A clamper vertically moving unit is provided for accessing or separating a clamp(6) toward a turntable(3) in accordance with a vertical direction on a disk(9) mounted on the turntable(3). The clamper vertically moving unit comprises a guide rail(11) formed at a deck(10), a pair of sliding members(20, 30) installed at the both sides of the deck(10), and a clamp supporting member(40) for supporting the clamp(6). The guide rail(11) is installed at the both sides of the deck(10) as a pair, and formed in the parallel direction to a rotation central line of the turntable(3) which is a vertical direction to the disk mounted on the turntable(3). One inclined cam unit(21) being formed inclined on the disk(9) is formed at the first sliding member(20). The other inclined cam unit having the same construction as the cam unit(21) is formed at the second sliding member(30) in the corresponding position to the cam unit(21). The sliding members(20, 30) are inserted into at the both side walls of the deck(10). Inner supporting units(22, 32) and outer supporting units(23, 33) prevent the sliding members(20, 30) from being moved in an accessing or separating directions, respectively. The clamp supporting member(40) supports a rotation and a rising/falling of the clamp(6).
