PURPOSE: A television having anti-destruction device against CRT is provided to sense the circuit defective in a vertical deflection output used in displaying pictures on the CRT to previously break the circuit, thereby previously preventing the destruction of an expensive braun tube. CONSTITUTION: A television having anti-destruction device against CRT comprises a CRT(13), a CRT driver(12), a micom(14), a circuit failure detector(16), and a power controller(17). The circuit failure detector(16) detects a vertical blanking signal of the signals output from a vertical output(121) of the CRT driver(12) to identify the presence of abnormal oscillation. The power controller(17) detects the signal input from the circuit failure detector(16), and breaks the power by the control signal from the micom(14) identified the presence of the abnormal oscillation. |
