<p>A method and an apparatus for supplying molten mineral (1, 1') to a cascade spinning apparatus having several, mainly cylindrical spinner wheels for the manufacture of mineral wool, whereby the molten mineral (1') is supplied to the spinner wheels and whereby particles of the molten mineral are being thrown out therefrom by the action of the centrifugal force while forming mineral fibres, and in which a free falling stream (1') of molten mineral is guided towards one or more splitting devices (3) which split the stream of molten mineral (1') into two or more part streams (6, 7) which, separately or in combination with each other, hit one or more of the spinner wheels.</p> |
