PURPOSE: An optical fiber operating information management apparatus is provided to search detailed and obvious operating information for a plurality of optical fibers rapidly. CONSTITUTION: An optical jumper code(11) is equipped with a bar code(14) for the combined configuration information of an optical fiber divided into the equipment side and the line side. A bar code recognition means(12) recognizes the bar code(14). A detection means(13) detects the management items of a relevant optical fiber by using the recognition information from the bar code recognition means(12). The detection means(13) comprises a computer equipped with the database storing data to decipher the combined configuration information of an optical fiber divided into the equipment side and the line side.
