PURPOSE: A suction opening of air conditioner on ceiling is provided to optimize the air flow passage and minimize the required accessaries and parts of the suction hole structure, thereby improving the assembly and reducing the noise. CONSTITUTION: A suction hole of air conditioner on ceiling including a cabinet(51) of which lower part is opened, and a lower panel(52) mounted at a lower surface of the cabinet and formed with a suction hole(52s) formed with a suction grill(52c) and a discharge opening(52b), includes a control box(53) installed at a periphery of the suction opening to incorporate variable electric elements therein, and an orifice(53a) mounted at an upper part of the control box to guide flow of suction air, wherein the control box and the orifice are formed integrally and the control box has a cover(54) at a lower part thereof for protecting the incorporated electric elements and simultaneously guide the air flow, the cover being formed with a surface smoothly curved inward to minimize the occurrence of vortex flow.
