PURPOSE: An apparatus for locking tilting of a steering shaft for a vehicle is provided to improve productivity by fastening and releasing a lever by moving a penetrating pin inward or outward instead of screwing, and simplify the tilting operation by reducing the manipulation range of the lever to an angle of 30 degrees. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for locking tilting of a steering shaft for a vehicle includes a column tube(1) of the steering shaft fixed with a pipe type distance element at a central bottom surface traversely, a mounting bracket(2) including plane plate parts(21) at both sides to be fixed on a vehicle main body, a supporting part(22) folded in the shape of "U" between the plate parts, and arch slots formed at both sides of the supporting part, an elongated rod bolt to be inserted into the arch slots and the distance element by inserting a circular bush inside a head part into the slots, a cylindrical control nut screw-coupled with an end part of the bolt by inserting an inner square part into the arch slots and having a through hole, a cam pipe inserted on an outer periphery of the cylindrical control nut and formed with a cam hole at an outer end and a lever integrally, and a penetrating pin inserted into the cam hole and the through hole of the control nut not to be deviated, wherein the cam pipe moves in a longitudinal direction of a shaft when the through pin moves along the cam hole by manipulating the lever.
