PURPOSE: An automatic paper feeding apparatus of printers is provided to maintain uniform feeding performance even in spite of long term use without any damage or slippage due to the abrasion of feeding roller by minimizing the frictional load between the feeding roller and the paper frictional pad part with the rolling friction of the idle pad roller. CONSTITUTION: In an automatic paper feeding apparatus of printers, papers are fed by the rotation pressure applied between a paper friction pad part(16) and a feeding roller(15), wherein the paper friction pad part includes an idle pad roller(20) in contact with the feeding roller for rotating due to the rotation pressure applied to the feeding roller when no paper is stacked on a paper stacking part, a flat spring(21) for elastically control the rotation of the idle pad roller, the idle pad roller has a rotation shaft inserted in a shaft guide(25) formed at both sides of the paper friction pad part and elastically supported by the flat spring so that the surface thereof is positioned a little lower than the bottom surface of the paper stacking part, and the flat spring has a space for receiving the idle pad roller in the center thereof and a pair of elastic supporting pieces(23,24) to support the rotation shafts at both side of the idle pad roller.
