APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING RUSH CURRENT AND POWER LOSS

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided which can prevent a rush current generated in an early stage when an input AC power is supplied from a power supply which converts the input AC power to a DC power, and in addition prevents the power consumption generated due to the unit for preventing the rush current. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus is provided to prevent the reduction of power efficiency according as preventing a rush current in a power supply. A power supply comprises: a capacitor(C1) outputting an AC power applied through a fuse(10) and a line filter part(20); a bridge diode part(30) rectifying the power applied through the capacitor; a transformer(40) transforming the rectified power of the bridge diode part; a smoothing part(50) smoothing the transformed power from the transformer; and a resistor(R1) for preventing the rush current which blocks the rush current, being connected serially between the capacitor and the bridge diode part. The apparatus prevents the rush current by further including: a relay(RY1) which is connected to the resistor and forms a separate pass path; a voltage regulator(60) converting the DC power from the smoothing part to a stable power level; and a control part(70) which controls the driving of a load on the ground of the power from the voltage regulator, and outputs a switching signal switching the relay on.
