PURPOSE: A cone type spacer for a GIS(Gas Insulated Substation) is provided to have electrical/mechanical properties sufficient to perform its functions even under the power transmission voltage higher than 765kV. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical conductor connector(2) has a plurality of coupling grooves(9) for coupling a central conductor(8) passing through an interior of an external vessel(7) filled with insulating gas. A vessel coupler(1) is coupled to the external vessel(7) through a plurality of screw holes(5) formed on one side thereof. A cone type body(6) is formed from the vessel coupler(1) toward the external surface of the cylindrical conductor connector(2). A copper shield ring(3) is inserted into a side end of the vessel coupler(1) and is grounded to the external vessel(7) through the screw holes(5) connected to a ground line(4).
