PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating an error of an electronic watt-hour meter is provided which allows an integrated circuit for measuring power to compensate a measured value based on compensation data previously stored in a memory of the watt-hour meter, thereby compensating an error rapidly and accurately. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compensating an error of an electronic watt-hour meter includes a reference watt-hour meter(200A), a to-be-tested watt-hour meter(200B), and a computer(300). The reference watt-hour meter calculates electric energy sufficiently satisfying a tolerance using a reference device when the watt-hour meter detects voltage and current provided by a three-phase power supply(100) to a load and calculates the electric energy consumed by the load based on the detected voltage and current. The to-be-tested watt-hour meter corrects an error on the basis of a correction coefficient provided by the computer to calculate electric energy and outputs pulse signals corresponding to the calculated electric energy when the watt-hour meter detects voltage and current provided by the three-phase power supply to the load and calculates the electric energy consumed by the load based on the detected voltage and current. The computer compares electric energy calculation factors by phases detected by the watt-hour meters with each other, analyzes the compared result and calculates error correction coefficients for the to-be-tested watt-hour meter to send the coefficients to the to-be-tested watt-hour meter.
