PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a sublimation type thermal transfer ribbon not generating ghosts nor tailings, providing a good image density. SOLUTION: A sublimation type thermal transfer body provided with at least an ink layer composed of one layer of sublimable dye and a binder resin between a base and the topmost layer, and the exhaustion density of 0.4<= for the topmost layer, and <1.0 when the topmost layer is laminated on a high dye uptake resin. A silicon component and a fluorine component are contained in the topmost layer for the purpose of improving dye diffusion barrier properties, and also desirably a substance provided with lubrication properties or release properties is contained therein to prevent the fusion bonding of a thermal transfer ribbon with an image receiving paper. |
