<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain facilitation of maintenance work of a ball bearing for supporting a ball nut. SOLUTION: In this device, a ball nut 63 screwed to a ball screw shaft 61 integrally formed with a rack 4 meshed with a pinion is driven by a motor 8 for giving steering assist force and supported by a ball bearing 65 fitted through a clearance to an internal peripheral side of a housing 31 covering the rack 4. A slip off preventive member 50 pressing an outer ring 65b, constituted by a pair of annular members 65b', 65b" interposing a bearing ball 65c of the ball bearing 65 having an inner ring integrally formed in the external periphery of the ball nut 63, to a side of the housing 31 is removed therefrom, so as to draw out the ball bearing 65 and the ball nut 63 from an end part opening of the housing 31. Here a press out part 70 pressing this outer ring 65b from an end face side in an opposite side to the opening in a uniform position in a peripheral direction is provided in an external peripheral side of this ball nut 63.</p> |
