PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor post that can be stably constructed without shaking even on an uneven floor face. SOLUTION: This floor post comprises a floor contacting base 1, a supporting column 2 freely rotationally erected on the floor contacting base 1, a sleeper receiving pedestal 4 designed so that its height is freely adjustable via a leveling nut 3 threaded into the top of the supporting column 2, a junction bolt 5 for connecting the floor contacting base 1 freely rotationally to the supporting column 2, and an elastic body 6 interposed between the floor contacting base 1 and the supporting column 2. The angle between the floor contacting base 1 and the supporting column 2 can be varied by means of the elastic body 6 to absorb the unevenness of the floor face.
