PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make construction work easy for fixing a decorated board such as natural stone to a base to be decorated such as wall surface and to make its finish neat. SOLUTION: A unit for construction work to be used for finishing a wall or the like with a decorated board includes at least a support rail 2 to be fixed to a base to be decorated and a locking member 1 arranged and fixed to the reverse side of the decorated board and fitted into the support rail 2, and the locking member 1 is composed of fitting bodies 11 in the plural number formed at specified intervals, a base 12 which supports the fitting bodies 11 and comes into contact with the reverse side of the decorated board, and fixing parts 13 which fix the base 12 to the reverse side of the decorated board while the support rail 2 is composed of a to-be-fitted part 21 which holds in sliding the fitting bodies and a fixing base 22 which holds the to-be-fitted part and comes into contact with the base to be decorated for fixing. And the work is performed by using the unit for construction work.
