PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning/packaging material which holds a package safely, exhibits sufficient cushioning effect against a drop impact, is easy to produce contributing for cost reduction, and is easy to collect by type for recycling. SOLUTION: This is a cushioning/packaging material for holding a package B1 with a pair of cushioning materials A1 and A2 facing each other. Each cushioning material Al, A2 is made of a synthetic resin foam body having suitable rigidity, and comprises a holding member 1 formed on each facing face with a storage recess 11 for storing the package and leg members 2 and 3, two of which are formed each in lengthwise and widthwise direction, made of a soft and elastic synthetic resin foam body, formed in a double cross in the lengthwise and crosswise directions on the back face side of the storage recess 11 of the holding member 1, and fitted and installed in a recessed groove for forming a protrusive shape in each face from the back face to a side face continuously.
