PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium honeycomb manufacturing method which is, at first superior in the production cost and easily manufactures a large-sized titanium honeycomb, secondly, effectively utilizes the characteristics of titanium and a titanium alloy as base materials and manufactures the titanium honeycomb superior in strength, heat resistance, and anticorrosion, thirdly, uses coating mold release without reacting with titanium and the titanium alloy in heat treatment and avoids the formation of a brittle layer and losing of the mold releasing performance, and surely manufactures the titanium honeycomb without any cutting accident, extension difficulty, and extension failure. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method uses titanium and a titanium alloy as base materials 2, heat treats them while pressurizing, diffusedly joins them into beams, and develop them so as to manufacture a titanium honeycomb 1. Oxide powder of a rare earth element is adopted as mold release 5, mixed with organic system binder volatilizing less than 350 deg.C at a rate of 1 wt.% or more, and coated thereon at a coating thickness not less than 0.3μm and not more than 30μm. |
