PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adhere a fiber to a rubber with improving working environment and without essentially spoiling fiber-rubber adhering properties by using an adhesive solution in which used amount of formaldehyde is brought to zero or reduced. SOLUTION: This method for adhering a fiber to a rubber is to impregnate a fiber in an adhesive liquid comprising (A) resorcin or an initial condensate of a novolak type resorcin formaldehyde, (B) a melamine-based compound expressed by the formula [R is H, CH2OR' (R' is H,CH3 or C2H5)] and (C) a rubber latex, thereafter bury the treated fiber in an unvulcanized rubber and vulcanize the unvulcanized rubber to integrate the fiber with the rubber. |
