PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate recording with excellent light resistance durable against a long period preservation by incorporating a gelatin, an ultraviolet absorbent and an antioxidant in an ink receptive layer provided at least on one surface of a support. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises an ink receptive layer containing a gelatin, an ultraviolet absorbent and an antioxidant. The gelatin, absorbent and antioxidant are preferably contained in the same layer and uppermost layer. Particularly, in a preferred embodiment, two or more layers are constituted, and the uppermost layer contains the gelatin, the absorbent and the antioxidant. When a benzotriazole derivative or hindered amine derivative is used as the absorbent, its light resistance is particularly upgraded. As the antioxidant, a phenol antioxidant is preferable. Further, the antioxidant/ ultraviolet absorbent ratio (by weight) is preferably about 1/20 to 1/5. Thus, the light resistance is remarkably improved.
