PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying apparatus, excellent in reliability and capable of achieving appropriate sheet conveyance matching various kinds of curled sheets and of stably conveying the sheets without damaging the curls of the sheets, and an image forming device. SOLUTION: When a sheet passed through a curling means 46 enters a guide conveyance path 49 as it is curled to project upwards, a movable guide 49B being oscillatable and energized in the direction for narrowing a guide interval keeps the guide interval wide open according to the stiffness of the curled sheet as shown by the broken line in the figure, so that the sheet can be stably conveyed without damage to the curl imparted to the sheet.
