PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently enhance an empirical value or the like of a character which is operated by a player. SOLUTION: If a character operated by a player defeats an enemy character in a combat (S100), a fundamental empirical value set beforehand for the enemy character is read out (S101). The fundamental empirical value is multiplied by a coefficient corresponding to an attack method performed to defeat the enemy character to calculate an obtained empirical value (S102). A total empirical value obtained by totaling the empirical values which have been obtained by the character operated by the player is divided by the obtained empirical value calculated in step S102 to obtain a value X (S103). A correction coefficient corresponding to the value X is read out from a correction coefficient table registered beforehand in a main memory (S104), and the obtained empirical value is multiplied by the correction coefficient to correct the obtained empirical value (S105). The corrected obtained empirical value is added to the total empirical value of the character (S106).
