PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing detector that detects a boom housing position via one sensor whose adjustment is easy. SOLUTION: This housing detector 25 comprises a limit switch 27 and a cam 29. The cam 29 is disposed on a swinging base 9 and is bendable at its center portion via a hinge portion 39, which interconnects a left swinging abutment member 35 and a right swinging abutment member 37 whose respective flange portions 35a and 37a are mounted on the swinging base 9 for positional adjustments. The limit switch 27 is disposed on a vehicle body 5 so as to come in contact with the left or right swinging abutment member 35 or 37 according to the swinging of the swinging base 9 to detect the telescopic boom position. The limit switch 27 and cam 29 are so positioned that the limit switch 27 comes in contact with the left or right swinging abutment member 35 or 37 of the cam 29 when the telescopic boom is situated over a boom rest.
