PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt a dot record system suitable for each dot-recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A printer has a record system which uses n (an integer satisfying 1<n<Nfull) nozzles among Nfull nozzles of one color. In this record system, selection information for optionally selecting a set of selectable n nozzles is stored for each printer. Each printer executes printing with use of n nozzles selected by the selection information. The nozzles are selected on the basis of a breadth of a ruled line on a test pattern or the like. |
